Add two blazing fast NVMe SSDs to your Raspberry Pi 5! Ideal for extra storage or redundancy. The NVMe Base Duo is a PCIe Gen 2 expansion card for the Raspberry Pi 5. Pop it in with one or two M-key NVMe SSDs (sizes 2230 to 2280) and mount it below or above your Pi for a compact, fast storage solution. The kit comes with rubber feet.
This is the perfect solution for turning your Raspberry Pi 5 into a file server, media center, reverse proxy, or home automation server with built-in backup. Particularly suited for tasks that benefit from lots of fast storage, redundancy, or if you have extra drives lying around. The NVMe Base Duo follows Raspberry Pi 's new "PIP" design guidelines, ensuring ease of use and long-term support through Raspberry Pi OS updates.
Please note: It is currently not possible to boot from the NVMe drives installed on the NVMe Base Duo. We hope that the RPi 5 firmware will support this in the future. For now, you should boot from an SD card and then the system can switch over to the fast SSDs.
