This is the deluxe stereo amplifier kit from Kitronik. It can be used with almost all stereo equipment, including MP3 players. The kit also includes a volume control and & power LED. It can be powered by a battery connected to the PP3 clip. A DC wall adapter can also be connected. The kit works from a power supply of 2V to 15V, but the volume is best at a higher supply. The amplifier uses a NJM2073D audio amplifier IC. It can output 1W per channel. The kit comes with two speakers and a pre-wired 3.5mm jack cable. It works on a 9V battery (not included), but you could also use a 12V wall adapter .
This kit requires soldering.
