Bambu Lab PLA Tough+ is made for prints that need to be able to do more than “regular PLA”. You choose this filament if you want a part that is tougher and can take a beating better. Think of clips, brackets, mounting aids, housings, and functional parts that you actually use. You retain the ease of use of PLA, but get a material that is better suited for everyday use.

Tough+ is also designed for high print speeds. So you can pick up the pace without immediately ending up with a fragile model. That is handy if you frequently print prototypes or do multiple iterations in a single day. And because it is still PLA, it remains a great choice if you don't want the “hassle” that some technical materials entail.

This variant comes without a spool (refill). You place the filament on a reusable spool. This reduces plastic waste and is practical if you use a lot or keep multiple colors in stock. White is the most versatile color in this regard. It is sleek, neutral, and perfect as a base for finishing. Painting, spraying, labeling, or combining with other colors is simply easier on white.

For consistent results, drying and storage are important. Bambu recommends drying PLA Tough+ before use and storing it dry afterwards. Especially with functional prints, you want the layers to adhere properly and your part not to become brittle due to moisture. Therefore, store your refill sealed with a desiccant.
