Description Alarm Project Kit - Kitronik
With the Alarm project kit from Kitronik you can make your own room or shed alarm. It works when you mount it on the top of a door, drawer or other object with a movable opening . The kit comes with a micro switch as standard. But this can be replaced with a magnetic door contact.
A microswitch acts as a trigger mechanism and is switched on/off by a separate slide switch. The movement of the door is detected by the microswitch. A timer provides an entry delay during which the system can be switched off by the slide switch . A separate timer ensures that the alarm stops after two minutes. Both timers are implemented via a 556 dual timer IC.
