Description Adafruit PiUART - USB Console & Power Add-on for Raspberry Pi

This is the PiUART USB Console & Power Add-on from Adafruit. It's a Raspberry Pi add-on that's perfect for 'head-less' setups. The PiUART adds USB Type-C to serial connections. This allows you to use any serial port software to connect to the Pi's console. It's quick and easy to plug in whenever you want to connect to the Pi. Two LEDs connect to the RX and TX of the serial converter chip. These flash when data is being sent or received.
The PiUART comes with an on/off switch. You can power the Raspberry Pi via the USB-C port. You can then use the switch whenever you want to turn the Raspberry Pi on or off . Low power Pi's such as the Pi Zero or A+ can be powered and controlled with a single cable connected to your computer . Heavier Pi's such as the Pi3, Pi4 and Pi5 consume too much power for this. So check if the USB port can supply enough power before you try it.
The PiUART comes fully assembled. On Mac OS X you install the driver and within two minutes you can get started.
It works with any Raspberry Pi computer (Pi 1, 2, 3, 4, Zero , etc)
