This is the DAC+ Pro XLR from HiFiBerry. It is the big brother of the DAC+. The Pro is more efficient and powerful and has been specially developed for professional users . It is suitable for studio-quality equipment with symmetrical outputs. The Burr-Brown-Chip is used to provide the best possible audio quality. The gold-plated XLR connectors are optimal for audio cable connections. The board also features an ultra-low jitter clock generator (22.5792 MHz and 24.576 MHz). This makes the DAC+ Pro XLR independent of the Raspberry Pi clock. The board comes with spacers to firmly attach the board to the Pi.
The HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro XLR can control the output volume with Alsamixer. It can also use other applications that support Alsamixer. You can also modify it to use an external power supply for the analog part.
