Formlabs Flexible 50A Resin is a soft resin with a rubbery feel. It is used to print parts that bend, stretch, and compress. The material is suitable for prototyping soft buttons, flexible contact surfaces, and compressible parts. The finish is translucent.

Use this resin to test more than just the shape. You can feel how a button yields or a flexible part bends. This helps with designs that are normally made from soft rubber or silicone. The printed parts can spring back after deformation.

Flexible 50A Resin works with the Form 4 and Form 4L. It is an elastomeric resin and not pure silicone. For true silicone, Silicone 40A Resin is available. Choose the material that matches the function you want to test. The names describe different materials and are not interchangeable.

Select the correct profile in PreForm. Consider soft and thin parts for the supports. Wash the part according to the instructions and cure it thoroughly. Then test the movement and feel. This way, you assess the combination of shape, wall thickness, and material in one tangible prototype.
