The Filament Buffer for the Bambu Lab P2S is a component located on the back of the printer. It compensates for voltage fluctuations during filament feeding. As a result, the filament feeds more smoothly, reducing the risk of jamming during loading. This component is especially important if you are working with an AMS and want a constant, smooth feed.
You replace the filament buffer when the parts or housing are visibly damaged and the function no longer works properly. In practice, you often notice this through problems during loading or irregular filament feeding. Installation is simple using an H2.0 Allen key. You disconnect two PTFE tubes, unscrew the buffer, and then reconnect the cable and tubes.
The package contains the filament buffer itself and two screws (ST3x24x7). The housing is made of plastic and the color is gray/black. The filament buffer is suitable for the Bambu Lab P2 series.
