Description Adafruit Rotary Trinkey - USB NeoPixel Rotary Encoder
This is the Rotary Trinkey from Adafruit. It's half USB and half Trinket. This module comes with a Trinket M0 as a brain, a NeoPixel glow and a rotary encoder. The Rotary Trinkey is ideal for adding a rotary knob to your laptop, for example.
The PCB is designed to fit into any USB-A port. There is an ATSAMD21 microcontroller on board which connects the three pins to a rotary encoder with built-in pushbutton . Another pin is connected to a NeoPixel LED. The last pin can be used as capacitive touch input. There is also a small reset button on the board to get into bootloader mode.
The SAMD21 works on both CircuitPython and Arduino. And thanks to the NeoPixel and FreeTouch libraries it is extra easy to program.
Please note! The module does not come with a soldered rotary encoder. You can choose your favorite rotary encoder + knob and solder it on the module.
