Description Bambu Lab Purge Wiper - A1
The Bambu Lab Purge Wiper for the A1 is a small but important component that wipes waste filament from the nozzle. Residual material often accumulates during startup, pausing, and resuming, and during filament changes (such as with multi-color prints). This wiper catches it and helps loosen it so that it is disposed of cleanly. This prevents clumps or strands from getting stuck that could disrupt your print.
Over time, the wiper may wear out or bend. You might notice this, for example, because the nozzle does not clean as well during preparation, or because filament sticks to the flap. In that case, replacing it is the quickest way to get your A1 printing neatly and reliably again.
Replacing it is simple and usually takes only a few minutes. You slide the old wiper out of the holder and place the new one back in. Then make sure that the flap does not touch the nozzle. There should be approximately 3 mm of space between the nozzle tip and the wiper.
