Which Formlabs 3D printer suits you?
The choice between the Form 4 and Form 4L starts with your design. Measure the largest part you want to print. Include space for placement and any supports. Then look at the quantities you need per job.
A more spacious printer can be useful for large models or multiple parts at once. Also compare the space on your workbench. The equipment for washing and curing counts towards this.
Form 4 for compact work
The Form 4 has a build volume of 200 x 125 x 210 mm. This size suits many prototypes, housings, and small parts. You can also place multiple small models on a single build platform.
The printer uses MSLA with Formlabs' Low Force Display technology. Light cures liquid resin layer by layer. In this way, your digital design grows into a physical model.
Form 4L for more space
The Form 4L offers a build volume of 353 x 196 x 350 mm. Choose this model if your designs require more space. The larger build platform can also be useful for series of small parts.
Check which resin your printer supports. The material partly determines which applications are possible. A larger build volume also means that you need suitable equipment for finishing.
Compare the contents of the printer bundles
