With the Waveshare 2-CH RS485 TO ETH (B), you connect two RS485 devices to an Ethernet network. Both RS485 channels operate simultaneously and independently of each other. This allows you to read meters, sensors, and other devices remotely.
The gateway supports TCP, UDP, Modbus, MQTT, and JSON. You can use it as a serial server, Modbus gateway, or IoT gateway. The two Ethernet ports are useful for daisy-chaining multiple devices. This reduces the number of network cables and connection points required.
The baud rate is adjustable from 1,200 to 115,200 bps. You can adjust the serial and network settings via the software or web interface. The metal housing protects the electronics. Thanks to the DIN rail mounting, you can easily install the gateway in a control cabinet.
