Description Serial Pi Plus
The Serial Pi Plus is a communications board that supports the RS232 serial protocol.
The RS232 port is connected to the UART port of the Raspberry Pi via a MAX3232 interface. The MAX3232 IC converts the 3.3V UART port to RS232 voltages. This allows communication with RS232 compatible devices via a DB9 serial cable . Or using a null-modem cable. The RS232 port is accessible via the DB9 port or on the solder points of the PCB.
There is a series of 2.54mm pitch holes with 3.3V and 5V connections present on the PCB. This allows you to build additional circuits on the board.
Please note, you can only use one Serial Pi board per Raspberry Pi . When stacking this board with other boards, we recommend placing the Serial Pi on top of the stack.
