Description of Formlabs VOC Extractor
The Formlabs VOC Extractor is a compact filter unit that helps reduce volatile organic compounds during resin printing. This accessory is suitable for the Form Studio 1 and Form 4. You can choose from three airflow settings to tailor the extraction to your setup and material.
Filtering during printing
The air passes through a pre-filter and then through two activated carbon HEPA filters. The unit operates during printing and discharges filtered air from the device.
The activated carbon filters each last approximately 330 print hours and can be replaced in a few seconds. Choose an airflow of 7, 12, or 19 CFM. The appropriate setting depends on the hose routing and the material used, among other factors.
Low emissions within the Form Studio 1 ecosystem
The UL GREENGUARD Gold certification for low chemical emissions applies when using the Form Studio 1 with Alpha Resins and the VOC Extractor. This certification applies to that combination and is not a general certification for all printers or resins.
Continue to follow the material specifications for ventilation, liquid resin, and personal protection. The filter unit supports resin processing within a carefully configured print environment.
