The Bambu Lab TPU Feed Assist Module makes TPU printing much easier. TPU is elastic and creates more friction in the filament path. As a result, the feed can become erratic. This module gives the filament an active, constant “push”. This keeps the feed stable and results in more reliable TPU prints, even with longer or less-than-ideal filament paths.
The module is designed to make your TPU setup more flexible. You no longer need to hang your spool perfectly above the printer. For example, you can place the TPU in a dry box next to the printer. The module helps reduce friction and resistance in the path. This keeps your workspace tidier and gives you more freedom in where you place your filament.
Please note: this is a core component kit. You must print the housing and frame yourself and then assemble the module. The TPU Feed Assist Module can be placed on the left or right hotend. If you place it on the right hotend, you can still use the left hotend normally, for example for PLA supports with TPU. If you place it on the left hotend, dual-hotend printing is not supported.
The module works with an external spool holder. AMS automatic loading and unloading is not supported. If you still want to keep TPU dry, you can feed the filament via the AMS HT TPU outlet.
