This leaves the remaining 24 GPIO pins available for your own use. The HAT has an RS-485 port, a power LED and a pushbutton. With pluggable connectors, using the board is easy. Even when multiple boards are stacked. The HAT is compatible with all Raspberry Pi versions from Zero to 5. It is possible to stack up to 8 HATS on top of each other. A three-position jumper selects the stacking level. In addition, the board offers protection against reverse power. The HAT also has a reset pushbutton for safe shutdown of the Raspberry Pi .
