This potentiometer is a two-in-one, it fits nicely into a breadboard or on a panel. It is a fairly standard linear 1M ohm potentiometer, with a grippy shaft. It is smooth and easy to turn, but not so loose that it slides around on its own. Because the legs are 5.08mm apart, the potentiometer is easy to connect to a breadboard or perfboard. Once you are done prototyping, you can plug it into a hole in your project enclosure. The nut and washer secure it in place.
