The pad is made of soft silicone. This ensures a snug fit on the hot end during cleaning without damaging it.
By automatically cleaning the nozzle at every print start, you reduce the risk of blobs, strings, and debris around the nozzle. This results in a more stable first layer and cleaner print results.
