The Inky Impression screen is a new type of ePaper screen from Pimoroni. Like the screens on other Inky Impressions, this XL 7.3-inch display is super bright. It is also energy efficient and looks great from different viewing angles. These seven-colour screens are very good. They have a high pixel density and vibrant colours. This makes it perfect for showing beautiful dithered images.
This chic screen features the following improvements:
- The necessary hardware to connect a Raspberry Pi , so that it fits neatly behind the screen. If your Pi already has a 40-pin header, you don't need to solder.
- Four side-mounted buttons that are accessible if you have mounted the panel to a wall or something similar .
- State-of-the-art ray tracing technology (in the form of some flashy PCB art)
E-paper displays only consume power when they are being refreshed, making them a good choice for projects such as home automation dashboards and electronic photo frames that need to be on at all times . This display takes about 40 seconds to refresh, making it best suited for projects that do not require constant screen updates.
