Pimoroni's Wide Input SHIM allows you to use a range of different DC power supplies (3-16V) with your Pi ! This includes the popular 12V barrel jack supplies. The module is very thin allowing you to solder it directly onto the pins of the Pi and still fit a HAT on top.
The barrel jack connector on the Wide Input SHIM is a 3.5mm version. There are two adapter cables included that you can connect to this. One with a red and black wire that you can solder and one with a larger 5.5mm female barrel jack connection.
If you don't want to solder the Wide Input SHIM to the Raspberry Pi you can use the supplied 2X6 header . When you solder this to the module you can place it on the GPIO pins of the Pi.
