This is the TFmini-I Industrial Lidar Distance Sensor. It has a measuring range of 12 meters. The operation of the TFmini-I is based on the Time-of-Flight (TOF) principle. In this principle, the sensor periodically emits modulations of near-infrared light. This light is then reflected after contact with the object. The sensor measures the time it takes for the light to travel there and back. This is used to calculate the distance. The accuracy varies from ±6 cm (0.1-6 m) to ±1% (6-12 m). The sensor has a frame rate of 1 to 40Hz and a distance resolution of 1 cm. This allows this sensor to provide fast and reliable measurements. The TFmini-I uses a VCSEL light source with a central wavelength of 850nm. It has a compact design of 50 x 34 x 41 mm. The Lidar can operate from temperatures between -20°C and 60°C.
