Description SIM808 GPRS/GSM GPS Bluetooth Shield

The SIM808 GPRS/GSM GPS Bluetooth Shield is a versatile communication aid. It is based on SIMCOM's latest SIM808 module. This module supports Quad-Band GSM/GPRS networks and integrates GPS technology for satellite navigation. The GPS receiver is highly sensitive and has 22 tracking and 66 acquisition channels. A standard 4-pin TRRS headphone jack allows the use of any compatible headset with microphone. For alternative audio options, there are connections for an external 32Ω speaker and an electret microphone.

This shield can do almost everything: make and receive voice calls, send and receive SMS messages, and send and receive GPRS data (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.). A new upgrade added Bluetooth functionality, making it a GSM/GPS/Bluetooth three-in-one module. The Bluetooth firmware has been improved and the AT commands for Bluetooth have been updated in the wiki.
