That is why DFRobot developed the Micro Bit IoT expansion board. This board works together with the DFRobot Easy IoT platform to lower the barrier to entry. The board is small and includes integrated Wi-Fi, an OLED display, motor control, IO ports, a serial port, a buzzer, RGB LEDs, a servo controller and a Li-ion battery holder. Even without much prior knowledge, you can quickly build IoT applications.
The board is shaped like a cloud, matching the IoT theme. A CR123A 3.6V rechargeable lithium battery ( NOT INCLUDED) was chosen for the power supply. This battery is small, has a high capacity and is very safe. In addition, short-circuit and reverse polarity protection has been added for extra safety when using the Li-ion batteries.
The integration of functions and the large size make teaching easier. The cute shape attracts students. Extensive expansion possibilities such as Wi-Fi, motor control and OLED provide diverse and engaging teaching content. The board supports makecode, mind+ and python. This makes it easy to update data.
