Description Adafruit 16-Channel PWM/Servo HAT for Raspberry Pi - Mini Kit

The Raspberry Pi is a fantastic little computer, but there is one thing it can't do very well! That is control DC Servo motors. These motors require very specific and repetitive timing pulses to set their position . This HAT makes that a whole lot easier! It adds the ability to control up to 16 servos with perfect timing. It can also perform PWM up to 1.6kHz with 12-bit precision.
The HAT is suitable for any Raspberry Pi with a 2x20 GPIO header. It can control up to 16 servos or PWM outputs via I2C with only 2 pins. The built-in PWM controller can control all 16 channels simultaneously without overloading the Raspberry Pi . 16 channels are not enough? No problem! You can stack up to 62 of these HATs to control up to 992 servos. And that on the same 2 pins!
To make things even easier, Adafruit has a Python library that you can use to get started right away . So you can easily create your own robotics projects.
Each Mini Kit comes with the HAT, a 2-pin screw terminal block, four 3x4 headers, and a 2x20 socket header . You will need to do a bit of lofting to mount the headers to the HAT. If you want to stack multiple HATs, you can use a 2x20 stacking header (not included) . Keep in mind that you will need servos and an external 5V power supply.
