New Arduino Create Subscriptions

Arduino has added two new subscription options to the Arduino Create Platform. This makes it even more affordable to get started with this online platform.

Entry subscription

The cheap new subscription is the Entry subscription. With the Entry version you can compile unlimited in Arduino Create for only $1.99 pm (for a year). This is very nice since this was previously only possible with the Maker subscription. You also know for sure that you can always work with the platform. In addition, you can create 10 “Things” instead of 2 with the free version. You get unlimited storage for sketches, 15 days of data retention and over the air updates.

Maker Plus subscription

The Entry version is a stripped down and cheaper version of the Maker subscription. The Maker Plus version is a more extensive subscription. With the Maker Plus subscription you can create up to 100 “Things”. That is 4x as many as with the Maker subscription! In addition, you receive 12 months of data retention instead of 3 months. For most people, this subscription will be too large and unnecessary. For people who are approaching the limit of the Maker subscription, this is a nice upgrade.

Which subscription should you choose?

So now there are four subscription options. The free version, the Entry, the Maker and the Maker Plus. If you actually always program in the IDE and only use Arduino Create for IoT projects. Then the free version is probably the best. Keep in mind that you only have 200 seconds of compilation time per day and that you can only make 2 “Things”. If you work with Arduino occasionally, but more than one hour at a time, then the Entry subscription is a good option. Thanks to the unlimited compiling you can work with Arduino Create without any problems. Are you a real Arduino Hobbyist? Then the Maker Plan is the best option! You can manage all your “Things” in one platform and share dashboards. Do you make business IoT projects that work with Arduino and/or the IoT cloud? Then the Maker Plus package is for you! Manage all your projects on one platform and easily share dashboards with customers.
