This LiPo SHIM offers a convenient way to power your Raspberry Pi Pico using LiPo/Lilon batteries. You can easily charge the battery by powering the Pico's USB port.
You can solder this small square circuit board onto the pins on the back of the Pico . Then connect a suitable lithium-ion/polymer battery and you're done!
The built-in charging circuit allows you to charge the battery via the Pico's USB port . It also offers protection against over-discharge and over-current. The SHIM has an on/off button to turn the project on and off. There are also two LED indicators. A white one that indicates whether the SHIM is supplying power and a red one that indicates whether the battery is being charged.
Safety Note! Use this SHIM only with LiPo or LiIon batteries. Make sure any project involving LiPos is adequately protected from denting, bending, puncturing or crushing .
