What does this kit contain?

  • TOOLBOX : Arduino Board s , Shields and components for a class of up to 30 students, and for the teachers to be trained.
  • ONLINE PLATFORM : Access to the Arduino Education Learning Management System with step-by-step instructions and lessons for 26 experiments based on thematic modules.
  • SUPPORT : Self-managed training, onboarding webinar and forum moderated by Arduino Education experts.

Toolbox

Over 700 components and parts!

Six Arduino 101 boards: one of the most powerful Arduino boards for education, including wireless communication (Bluetooth) and an integrated IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). They are programmable, able to read inputs (for example light on a sensor) and able to control outputs (for example activating a motor). Six Arduino Education shields: expansion boards that connect to the Arduino 101 and UNO boards to extend their functionality. The Education Shield is a custom shield, designed by Arduino Education, specifically tailored for educational purposes to make learning fast and easy while building projects. More than 10 mini breadboards: used to build circuits more easily. They can be attached to the Education Shield or used separately to connect other components. Set of electronic components: used to create interactive electronic circuits, including resistors, potentiometers, LEDs, pushbuttons, capacitors and diodes. Plug and Play Module Kit: Sensors and actuators that contain the necessary components on board so they can be directly connected to the Education Shield. Modules include a joystick, light and tilt sensors, and an infrared array. Sensors and actuators kit: Sensors include light, knock, touch/capacitive, and infrared. Actuators include standard and continuous servo motors. Battery pack: Includes both 9V and 1.5V batteries, and 4- and 8-slot battery holders. Media and storage: Includes webcam, SD card, and speaker. The Education Shield has an SD card reader and an audio connector. Cable kit: Includes all necessary cables, such as USB cables, jumper wires, module cables, battery clips, alligator cables, and single-wire cables. MDF parts: The project build involves laser-cut MDF parts. There are over 10 different projects that can be built with this set of parts. Storage and sorting boxes: Electronic components can be sorted into boxes based on their functions and sizes. After removing MDF parts from the frames, they can be stored in the resealable storage bags for later organization. The sorting box with dividers can be used to organize small components.

Platform

Online platform

Each purchase of CTC 101 includes user access to the online platform. Up to 3 teachers are given access, then they manage student access with a limit of 30 slots per toolbox. See the demo here . The online platform runs on a custom Learning Management System (LMS), this platform helps students get started with programming, electronics and building fully functional, interactive projects with the guidance of teachers. Currently available in English, Spanish, Italian and Catalan. Teachers are given student access so they can prepare and customize their lesson plans with more engaging and creative techniques, taking full advantage of the latest technologies to integrate into their curriculum. The content and class dynamics are specifically designed to enhance students’ problem solving and group work skills in a collaborative environment.
