The Adafruit STEMMA Speaker is an easy-to-use audio amplifier. It combines a class D audio amplifier with a powerful 1 Watt 8 ohm speaker. This makes it an ideal choice for a wide variety of audio applications. Hooking it up is a breeze. All you need is a ground, 3 to 5V power, and an audio signal. The audio signal does not need to be AC coupled. We take care of that for you. The signal voltage can go up to the voltage of the power pin (3 or 5V peak to peak).

The speaker offers flexibility in the connections. Use the 3-pin JST socket or the alligator/sewing pads. This makes the device slim and portable. The sound quality is high. Enjoy music, tones, speech and more. The volume is easily controlled with a small screwdriver.

For use with CircuitPlayground or micro:bit, a JST to alligator cable is best. Red is for power, black is for ground, and white is for signal. Want to use it with a breadboard? Try the JST to male/plug header.

The dimensions are compact: 37mm x 30.5mm x 7.2mm. The weight is only 7.5g. Please note that the color of the JST connector may vary between black and brown, but the functionality remains the same.
