Tinkercad Circuits

Do you know Tinkercad Circuits? Tinkercad Circuits is part of the free online CAD program Tinkercad from Autodesk. It works similar to Fritzing. You can easily build, program and even simulate your Arduino project virtually!

Tinkercad is able to simulate the code you enter. This means that your setup will work digitally. Lights go on and off and even sensors function in Tinkercad! Below you can see a video in which we build, write and simulate our Knight Rider project!

We really liked Tinkercad Circuits. It is intuitive and therefore easy to learn. There is an extensive range with an LCD display, motors and multiple logic gates. We did see that you can only use the Arduino Uno . This limits the possibilities, but most sketches can be converted to an Arduino Uno for a test.


Unfortunately, at the moment you can only use the Arduino Uno in Tinkercad Circuits, but you can still test many sketches here before building anything. And now that Fritzing costs money, it is certainly an attractive option. At the moment, the Tinkercad Circuit database contains some example sketches, three batteries, the Arduino Uno , and a wide range of components.
